Declaration

film director

“In my work, there’s always something strange happening. I like to use real locations and non-professional actors, but I place them on the fringes of reality. I drift away from it. The first time I went to this campground, I found it strange. There was an immobile bison, surrounded by sheep and a statue of a Native American chief. I come from documentary filmmaking, but it’s exactly the kind of cinema I want to create. A cinema that makes you say, ‘There’s something odd, but what?”
