Gianni Versace'e journey began in 1971, when he left Reggio Calabria for Milan, accompanied by his brother Santo and his sister Donatella, who became his most important collaborators. Leaving behind years of training and study, family affection, and, above all, his mother's legendary dressmaker's shop, Gianni headed north and slowly but surely created his unmistakable style that is trendy, innovative, aesthetically bold, both soft and impalpable. Milan was the perfect place to catalyze a revolution he had only dreamed of until then and to prefigure a new man and a new woman: the heroes of the new metropolises. Metropolises that resemble each other, where people don't have time for contemplation, only for manufacturing and work.
