Declaration
film director
“L’ultimo asino was catalyzed by the desire to recount a world before it disappears, to leave a trace of our history. Everything recalls a suspended time, far away from the present; an archaic world we thought was extinct but that still lives - and perhaps for the last time - in the journey of a farmer and his inseparable companion. With them, we travel through the beauty of a landscape that embraces and nurtures them, feeling all the fatigue of a man who doesn't give in to the weight of his years and continues to live as he always has, with his habits, his rhythms, his pace.”
