Shane Meadows

Shane Meadows (Uttoxeter, Regno Unito, 1972), dopo aver abbandonato la scuola ed essersi dedicato ai lavori più svariati, ha cominciato a girare i primi cortometraggi ed è stato ingaggiato dal produttore Stephen Woolley per dirigere il film Ventiquattrosette (1997), che ha partecipato a numerosi festival e vinto diversi premi, tra cui il Fipresci a Venezia. Con C’era una volta in Inghilterra ha partecipato al Festival di Cannes nel 2002, mentre nel 2006 ha presentato a Toronto This Is England, dal quale ha poi tratto e diretto due serie televisive. Nel 2008 ha partecipato alla Berlinale con Somers Town e l’anno successivo ha presentato al Torino Film Festival il mockumentary Le Donk & Scor-Zay-Zee.
