Trova però un amico, un poveraccio tisico che sogna di andare in Florida. Dal Free Cinema, Schlesinger approda in Usa e cattura subito il crollo del Sogno con un’amarissima favola urbana che vince tre Oscar. Jon Voight è il campagnolo e un gigantesco Dustin Hoffman è il tisico.
