The death of Carlo Ausino, the historical name of Turin’s cinema, created deep emotion in the city. Author of Torino violenta, cult film of the seventies, Ausino was known and appreciated in the world of Turin culture. Today at 18:00 live from the studio set up at the Mole Antonelliana, Caterina Taricano and Fabrizio Dividi will remember him through the testimonies of those who have known him. The greeting can be followed on the Youtube channel of the Festival.
In connection Domenico De Gaetano, Stefano Francia di Celle, Paolo Manera, Alessandro Gaido, Franco Prono, Daniele Cavalla, Steve Della Casa, Gabriele Ferraris, Stefano Boni and Silvia Donatiello, nephew of Ausino; will participate with a video greeting Toni Campa and Gaetano Renda.
“With this initiative – said the director of the festival Stefano Francia in Celle – we wanted to create the conditions for a great virtual embrace by the city to Carlo Ausino, the artisan of Turin cinema, the man who with little ability to make films because animated by a great passion. To him ideally we dedicate this year the installation of the Star of the Mole, located in Piazza Castello for the duration of the festival”.
The Torino Film Festival will also pay homage to Carlo Ausino on Saturday 28 November proposing as a special event Torino Violenta and his short film Racconto di Natale, from 14 hours on MYmovies (for 24 hours).
