Werner Herzog
Werner Herzog (Monaco di Baviera, Germania, 1942) è cresciuto in un piccolo villaggio della Baviera e ha esordito con il cortometraggio Ercole nel 1962, prima di studiare storia, letteratura e teatro all’Università di Monaco. Da allora ha realizzato oltre sessanta film, tra cui Aguirre, furore di Dio, Fitzcarraldo, Apocalisse nel deserto, Grizzly Man, Encounters at the End of the World, Il cattivo tenente - Ultima chiamata New Orleans, Cave of Forgotten Dreams. Universalmente riconosciuto tra i più importanti cineasti viventi, ha ricevuto numerosi premi e riconoscimenti prestigiosi. Al Torino Film Festival ha presentato Grizzly Man nel 2005, Into the Abyss nel 2011 e The Fire Within: A Requiem for Katia and Maurice Krafft nel 2022.
